In last week’s blog, I talked about the positive impact listening to gospel music on Kingdom Citizens Radio has made on my life. I want to share a few more with you and hopefully encourage you to do the same.

Meditate on the Lord’s goodness and love

Listening to gospel music makes it easy to focus my attention of God’s glory. His ways and His love.

“I will meditate on Your precepts and [thoughtfully] regard Your ways [the path of life established by Your precepts].” -Psalm 119:15

Keep God’s Word in your heart

When we repeat God’s word in song, it leaves a big impact on our hearts. Safeguarding our lives and transforming us into being more like Christ.

“Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” -Psalm 119:1

What you store up overflows into your life

Repeating the Lord’s word in gospel songs, allows us to store it up. Eventually, it overflows with what we say and do, and to those around us. It renews the heart, spirit, and mind.

“Good people have good things saved in their hearts. That’s why they say good things. But those who are evil have hearts full of evil, and that’s why they say things that are evil. What people say with their mouths comes from what fills their hearts.” -Psalms 119:11

Worship the Lord all day long

Contact Kingdom Citizens RadioListening to gospel music in the morning puts me in a great mood fro the rest of the day. These songs get stuck in my head, I think about them and even sing them to myself all day. It gives the attitude of worship all day.

“It is good to sing about your love in the morning and about your faithfulness at night.” Psalm 92:

Food for your spirit

Just as what your feed you body is important, what you feed your spirit and mind is just as important, if not more. Worship songs connect us, feeds and strengthens our mind and spirit.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” -Matthew 4:4

Solidify the truth of God’s Word

The more we hear and sing the Truth of God’s Word, the more it solidifies in our mind. Trusting in that Truth and acting/speaking from a place of faith.

“God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).” -John 4:24

I encourage you to listen to Kingdom Citizens Radio and see for yourself how it can change your life. Check back with us next week as I share the positive impact listening has had on my life.
