Rejoicing in the healing power of Christian gospel music shouldn’t be reserved for Sunday mornings or Holidays. Listening to gospel music is an everyday thing for me. It’s inspirational and emotional, it is about a connection with a higher power.

Gospel music touches on a spiritual level, listening to this music has a way of connecting us with God. I start every morning with gospel music to wake my soul, body, and mind.

Whenever I find myself feeling down or in a confusing situation, listening to gospel music on Kingdom Citizens Radiocomes through for me. It has been a blessing for me in so many ways, I’m sure it can be a blessing for others as well.

A few of my favorite songs deepen by spirit and brings me a sense of gratitude.

The Clark Sisters’s “You Brought the Sunshine”

It’s the perfect song to wake up to or work out with. It has a great beat and great words!

Aretha Franklin’s “Mary, Don’t You Weep”

The song is about miracles, which is why it’s one of my favorites. God spoke and the Lazarus was able to get up and walk. Miracles can show up anytime in your life.

Wintley Phipps’s “Blessed Assurance”

A beautiful hymn, that lets you know everything is going to be okay, it’s the Blessed Assurance.

Wintley Phipps’s “Amazing Grace”

There are quite a few versions of “Amazing Grace”, but this one is defiantly my favorite. The fullness of his baritone voice brings a richness to this classic hymn.
