Life is Communicated
Gospel music carries the breath of God. It is the Life it communicates through the words and sounds. When you listen to Gospel music, it lifts your spirit. It is important to really listen to the words we listen to, the songs we listen to can hold us captive or free us.
Philippians 4:8, ESV: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
We are reminded of God’s Promises
In our day to day life, it is easy to feel down and even sorrow. Listening to Gospel music in dark times reminds us of the Lord’s words concerning times like this. Renewing our spirit and faith.
Psalm 46:10, ESV: “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Feel the nearness and love of God
In today’s world, it is easy to feel all alone and far from God. But listening to Gospel music has a way of lifting the spirit and engulfing the listener in God’s love. Songs about the faithfulness and goodness of God, reminds me that I am not alone.
