A person who is filled with the spirit and walks with the Lord, is a thankful person, “give thanks always”. Having spiritual awareness of the goodness of God, an overflowing of thanksgiving, A heart filled with the Spirit, is a singing heart.
Psalm 61:8. So I will always sing praises to your name, as I pay my vows day after day
When Paul and Silas were seized in the marketplace before the authorities for ordering a divination spirit out of slave girl. They were flogged and sent to prison. Praying and singing to the Lord sets them free.
Acts 16 25-26. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was an earthquake, so violent that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened.
