Never underestimate the power of Gospel Christian music. I have been listening to Citizens Kingdom Radio for quite some time, but it wasn’t always like this. There was a time in my life when I was struggling with depression, feeling stuck in my life and contemplating the worst my life.

But everything changed when I came across Kingdom Citizens Radio on the internet. I can’t tell you how much of a difference it made in my life.

The first song I heard was Healing by Richard Smallwood. The song reminds me about how God speaks love into my life and joy everyday. Listening to Kingdom Citizens Radio helps me steer away from depression and negativity, it also shows me God’s Love for me.

Don’t be discouraged.    Joy comes in the morning

Know that God is nigh.    Stand still and look up

God is going to show up.    He is standing by

There’s healing for your sorrow.    Healing for your pain

Healing for your spirit.    There’s shelter from the rain

Lord send the healing.    For this we know

There is a balm in Gilead.    For there’s a balm in Gilead

There is a balm in Gilead     To heal the soul

Healing for the soul

The Lord calls us to focus on what is good and positive. What we think about gets incorporated into our value system.

In a world filled with negativity, when we align our value system with that of the Lord, gives a solid foundation.

“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].” -Philippians 4

Listening and singing along to gospel music is an act of worship that heightens our awareness of God.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” -Psalm 51:10

I encourage you to listen to Kingdom Citizens Radio and see for yourself how it can change your life. Check back with us next week as I share the positive impact listening has had on my life.
